Applied Academic Instructor — HSD (1)
This position is responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the Career Education Center. Develops individual achievement plans and academic goals to ensure student academic achievement in the program. Works with the CTT Instructors to infuse applied academics into CTT curricula to enhance student learning and success. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. A valid in-state teaching certificate or waiver required. Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred.
Base Salary: $40,136 annually
Dorm Supervisor — (1) Male Dorm
Responsible to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Oversees the daily management of the respective dorm area and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Provides individualized case management in conjunction with career counselors to maintain student enrollment and success in the program. Supervises and manages residential staff.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Arts Degree preferred. A minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required. Must possess a valid in-state Driver's License and meet the Company insurability requirements.
Base Salary: $31,975 annually
Residential Advisor (4)
Female dorm: Sun., Mon., and Tues. 3 pm to 12 am, Fri. and Sat. 4:00 pm to 1:00 am
Male dorm: Sun., Mon., Tues., Wed., Thurs. 11:30 pm to 8:30 am
Female dorm: Sun. and Mon., 3 pm to 12 am, Thurs., Fri., and Sat. 3 pm to 12 am
Male dorm: Sat. and Sun. 8 am to 5 pm, Mon. 3 pm to 12 am, Tues. and Wed. 11:30 pm to 8:30 am
This position is responsible for working with Residential team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required. A valid in-State Driver's License preferred.
Base Salary: $13.00 hourly
Maintenance Technician (1)
This position assists in providing preventative and ongoing maintenance of Center facility, grounds and systems. May inspect the work of other maintenance personnel; researches and recommends purchase of replacement equipment as needed. May supervise Job Corps' Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time Student Employees assigned to the department. The Maintenance Technician also conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure working quality, and may coordinate activities with the Facilities Maintenance vocational training program.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year experience in building maintenance required. Technical certificate preferred. Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers and other building systems preferred. Must possess a valid in-state Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
Salary: $13.00 hourly
Food Service Assistant (2)
This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of food and beverages for consumption by students. Provides kitchen clean-up to facilitate sanitizing of all food service areas. May supervise Job Corps' Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time Student employees.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience in a food services operation desired. Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification required.
Base Salary: $9.75 hourly
Maintenance Manager (1)
This position provides overall management for facility maintenance through planning, budget control, staff training, scheduling and evaluation. Develops, implements and monitors the Center energy conservation program; regularly inspects Center buildings and grounds to ensure proper maintenance in compliance with safety codes; develops and maintains Center preventive maintenance program; promptly alerts Director of Finance & Administration of major trouble areas and high cost maintenance or repair items. The Maintenance & Logistics Manager also schedules staff for prompt and effective maintenance of grounds and buildings, maintains an effective work order system, and may prepare bid requests for subcontracts for repairs or services.
Requirements: A.A. Degree or Technical Certificate required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience may include previous lead or supervisory experience, military maintenance, property, logistics and/or transportation management background, Journey-level trade participation and related experience. Supervisory experience required. Computer literacy and proficiency required in word processing and spreadsheet applications. Must meet Company driving requirements.
Base Salary: $41,420 annually
Center Director
Serves as the Center's Chief Executive Officer leading and developing a senior management team in the successful delivery of quality, accountable and successful outcome-based programming. Leads senior management in the delivery of Student Recruitment, Student Academic and Career Technical Training, Center Finance and Administration, Student Management and Social Development, Student Career Transition and Center Facilities Management. Analyzes systems/data to drive student performance. Ensures compliance with Company, Job Corps and DOL policy. Acts as primary liaison between Center and DOL Offices regarding Center activities and contract compliance. Responds to Company and DOL requests in a timely and professional manner. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
The ability to develop staff, delegate and effectively multi-task are essential. This position is responsible for managing three government contracts, 500+ students and 150+ employees. Responsible for directing all key management and administrative staff, supervises all staff programs and activities, and ensures a safe, attractive and productive Center environment. This position ensures that staff and students meet a high standard of appearance, conduct, productivity and bottom line performance. The abilities to establish and develop government, business and community relations a plus.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of five years of management experience or senior management positions with a variety of disciplines required. Program management and direction with substantial experience working with youth recommended. Prior Job Corps leadership experience strongly desired. Department of Labor approval required.
Salary: $90,000 annually
Counselor — Female Dorm (1)
This position is responsible for providing personal/career counseling for students to enhance student employability and to ensure continued enrollment and quantifiable success in the Job Corps program. Identifies and remediates student barriers to success and develops individualized student career educational plans. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data. May be assigned Acting Career Development Manager in Career Development Managers absence.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction) required. A minimum of one year experience in counseling or related field. Prefer previous Job Corps or related program experience. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
Base Salary: $31,975 annually
Work Hours: Monday 10am to 7pm, Tuesday 1pm to 10pm, Wednesday 11am to 8pm, Thursday 11am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 6pm.
Substitute and On-Call Positions Available
Substitute Academic and Vocational Instructors
This position is responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the Education and Training Department. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. A valid in-state teaching certificate preferred . Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred. This position is for on-call substitute instructors to cover classes as needed. We prefer to fill full time vacancies from our substitute list.
Salary: $115 per day
On-Call Residential Advisors
